Emerging tech PR for Mobius Labs
Berlin-based Mobius Labs developed a new generation of AI-powered computer vision which can be deployed on both an organisation’s own servers and on apps running on mobile devices. This will, its founders believe, disrupt how the world works with visual content by enabling users to turn that content into immediate insight and value.
Content marketing at the core: Mobius started small with us. Initially we provided an ad hoc content programme focussed on demand generation working with our specialist AI writer to deliver gated content including e-books and whitepapers and new landing copy for the website which you can read here.
Christian Konigs, Head of Marketing, Mobius Labs: “Our “Intro to AI” guide has been by far the most successful lead generation activity to date in the company.”
Wrapped up in media outreach: At the beginning of 2021 we started working with Mobius on the PR side, with a view to taking the great copy we were creating to press and building its profile in the UK. We kicked off the programme with media and presentation training for key spokespeople to ensure they were well-prepared when talking to the media and could present confidently at industry events. Each month we took content our writer had drafted, pitched and placed it in key publications, upon publication it then went onto the Mobius website.
Positioning Mobius at thought leaders: In 2021 we placed 12 articles and secured 13 media opportunities in key publications sourced from feature opportunities, profile pieces for the CEO or written responses in titles such as Information Age, AiThority, Enterprise Management 360, IT Pro Portal, CEO Digital and Top Business Tech.
Making a splash around funding: In September 2021 Mobius received €5.2 million in funding, which warranted a big splash. We drafted a release focussed on the funding round, prepared tailored pitches and created a tight targeted press list for distribution. An embargoed exclusive was also secured in Tech Crunch.
Providing strategic input: Based on the back of our solid work and strong relationships, The Comms Crowd were also invited to work with key thought leaders at Mobius Labs to help define their messaging into four pillars. The output of which is now used across content, marketing and sales within the business.
Overall in 2021 we achieved 68 pieces of coverage, resulting in a total online readership of 320 million and 480 social shares. The funding release alone resulted in over 30 pieces of coverage. You can see the full coverage book here.
