Announcing funding for an insurtech start-up

In 2019 we were engaged by insurtech start-up, Urban Jungle to provide PR services. Our brief was to raise its profile in the insurance and technology press with a view to building its B2B brand and help attract new partnerships.

Founded in 2016, Urban Jungle is a fast-growing challenger brand in insurance and already one of Trustpilot’s top-rated home insurers in the UK. With a strong focus on Generation Rent, it provides contents, gadget, and tenant liability policies.

Our fintech team got the account off the ground quickly, agreeing key media targets and talking points in record time. We kicked off activities with news of Urban Jungle’s recent £2.5m funding round. Working closely with the UJ team, we managed to secure an exclusive in TechCrunch, along with 25 other articles in the tech, start-up and trade press, This splash land reached a potential audience of 41.1K and resultedin 336 social media shares.

To make the most of this momentum we then announced Urban Jungle’s consumer product, securing several pieces of national coverage in The Sunday Times and The Sun in our first hit. It wasn’t long before potential new partners were knocking at the door.
