Helen is our editorial director. As a highly-experienced financial services analyst, she has been researching and writing about the industry and digging deep into the subject matter since 2001. She has worked across the full financial services spectrum, developing particular expertise in the payments and wealth management sectors.
At The Crowd, Helen is responsible for delivering insightful content for our clients ranging from bylines to white papers. Her background means that she is able to bring a solid research foundation to all content, including survey design and data analysis, while her in-depth industry knowledge enables her to get to the heart of the most complex of subjects.
“Making content stand out today is no mean feat. The amount of information and data available to the industry has exploded over the last two decades. With my industry expertise and research skills, I help to ensure that your content is of the highest quality and brings a fresh perspective to well-worn topics.”
Helen started her career as an analyst on the retail banking team at Datamonitor back in 2001. After six years and a brief sojourn in Barcelona teaching English, she joined digital marketing agency Metia, where she first crossed paths with many of her colleagues at The Crowd. There she worked as Senior Account Manager on the Analyst Relations Team, managing accounts for a range of clients, including Misys (now Finastra), Microsoft, Logica (now part of CGI Group) and Cadis (now part of IHS Markit). Helen later returned to the world of analysis, taking on the role of Head of Content for Wealth Management at GlobalData, before becoming a freelance analyst and writer in late 2018.
Based in Surrey, Helen officially became part of The Crowd in 2022. When she is not researching and writing, Helen enjoys being mum to her two boys, trying to improve her 10km run times and gardening.
